This is an exceptional traditional piece, believed to be an African Luba/Hemba tribe wood stool from the Congo, but could possibly also been have made by the Murik people from Papua New Guinea. It’s made of solid wood, and hand carved. The top has a small crack which is due to age but otherwise a solid piece with great craftsmanship.
